Webinar: “International key tests for cosmetics. How to validate your products.”

6 May, 2021

The 5W of product testing explained.

Does a cosmetic product need any test? Yes, of course!
Every cosmetic product placed on the market needs to undergo some tests before its launch.

Not all products need the same tests, it depends on the product category and the market where the product will be sold. To place a compliant product on the market you need to know them!

At Cosmeservice we can run different tests to evaluate the safety and also efficacy of cosmetic products. Some of them are mandatory, as the Stability test, to ensure the stability of the formulation and estimate the shelf life, or the Challenge test, to check the efficacy of the preservative system.

Other tests that can be done are for skin compatibility or the justification of claims. Patch test will allow you to ensure skin tolerance and the In-use test will help you to justify the claims made at the product, using real consumers opinions.

At the webinar we will easily explain the 5W of product testing: what, when, who, where, and why. We will be making useful examples about what are these tests, when the testing will be done, the indicated ones depending on where you will place the products, who are the indicated laboratories to perform these tests, and the most important: Why you need them!

If you want to learn which tests can apply to your cosmetic products join us at our webinar on the 26th of May 2021.

At Cosmeservice, our internal Safety Assessors will help you to choose the right tests for your products. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be pleased to help you.
